Portree Bay Cottage is absolutely stunning both inside and out. We are just sorry we couldn't stay longer. I'm hoping to bring my husband and children back soon as I was telling them all about it 🙂
Great house. Very clean and modern. Everything in place you would expect. The building was a real Tardus with much more room than you might expect looking at it. I'm not sure you'll wake to many better views than the ones here. Loved the whole set up, wanted to extend my stay.
Beautiful, well equipped home. No amenities missing and a spectacular view over the water with unending changes in the colors and the clouds. A photographers dream. Fay left nothing to chance, everything one might have wanted was there and clearly noted.
This was everything we had hoped it would be. Quiet. Clean. Hospitable. Wellfurnished. Peaceful. Beautiful. What is more, it's perfectly located. It's secluded enough to be perfectly peaceful even when Skye is at its most crowded, and yet it's a 5 minute walk from everything you might need in Portree. Fay was very responsive. Heartily recommended.
The cottage is amazingly beautiful. We were very excited when we entered the cottage. It's a good view point of the sea. And we have a wonderful holiday because of the cottage. Thanks again!

Wonderful property to stay at! The view is incredible, the cottage was beautiful - not a bad thing to say about it! The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could think of, the property overall was very clean, it felt very spacious and there was 5 of us staying in the property. Would highly recommend!
Faye has an amazing spot at the edge of the world . One of my favorite places. There are many places on Skye to be based but this is a lovely spot with a small village close by for emergency supplies but everything does close early so you have to be super prepared and have dinner reservations if you want to eat out. Almost everything is a drive as well but it's all worth it because it's truly a special place
A lovely cottage located in a beautiful region. It's very clean and well maintained. Our two young children had a great time around the cottage, sheeps and cows in sight. Highly recommended.
A stunning house, extremely well renovated to the highest standard. Contains everything you need to make your stay comfortable. During our short stay we visited Dunvegan Castle and its grounds which is a must, coral beach (stunning!!!) and Portree which is a lovely town where you can arrange boat trips. We drove round some of the island but had no idea that Skye was so huge so unfortunately the house was more out of the way than we would have hoped (but that was our error). Loved the sun porch as the weather was very windy but sunny and we loved the cosy open fires at night. Don't think we will ever visit somewhere with such stunning scenery 🙂
We loved our stay in the Isle of Skye. The cottage was in a perfect location close to Neist Point & the Three Chimneys. We went to a lovely local cafe called cafe Lephin too. Fay was a great host & responded fast to any questions we had. Cottage was great for our dog Harris, as the garden was enclosed. Thanks again.
We absolutely loved this beautiful place - it had everything we wanted or needed. There were so many lovely touches around the house and the outdoor picnic bench was the perfect spot for a gin with a view! The house is in a lovely, peaceful spot which was so relaxing, and there is a small shop and cafe close by. Fay was a great host and we couldn't have asked for more!
We loved staying here! The house is in fabulous condition, very clean and cosy. It is in a beautiful location where all I could hear were birds and sheep. This would be a lovely place to stay at any time of the year. I highly recommend it
Such a cosy wee cottage that we loved staying in for a few days as a base to explore Skye! Loved being in Portree, so pretty and found it a handy location to travel to all the different sights we wanted to see. Lots of places to eat out but we enjoyed being in the cottage so much that we cooked every night and enjoyed relaxing by the fire! There is a shop to get fresh fish and shellfish from at the harbour or by the bigger co-op! Also a smaller co-op two minute walk away to get essentials and nearby chemist and post office too. Would definitely return!
It is indeed a lovely cottage in a quiet street in the center of Portree - just a few minutes walk from all the shops and restaurants. The kitchen is great. So, you might not even need to go to any restaurant 😉 We enjoyed our short stay there very much and were just sad that we already had to continue our journey.
We had a fabulous stay at Rowan cottage. Everything was perfect. Easy parking for the car but only 2 minutes walk to the town centre and only supermarket. The cottage was very warm and inviting. Very clean and well equipped.
We had a lovely stay in Penny Cottage. Everyone (grandparents, parents and kids) all had a great sleep in the very comfortable beds, and the space was perfect for us. It was great to be able to walk into town, and the view from the top bedroom was amazing. The kitchen had everything we need and the kids got a kick out of using the clothesline. Fay kindly flagged that we might not have cell service so reminded me in advance to print out directions on finding the place and getting in, and her instructions were very easy to follow. A great place - very clean and comfortable and a perfect place for exploring Skye. Only regret was that we hadn't booked to stay longer! Would definitely recommend.
Penny Cottage was perfect for our family holiday. Plenty of room, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and handy essentials supplied. Fay was very friendly and great to communicate with - a very smooth and easy arrival. Great location to explore all of Skye from. Highly recommend!
A quiet, clean and comfortable cottage with all of Portree on its doorstep. Worth the visit just for its proximity to nearby restaurant Scorrybreac!
The house is very comfortable and good value. It is very close to shops and restaurants in Portree town centre and the bay, which takes only 5 mins walk from the house. Inside the house, all facilities and amenties are provided, such as washing machine, dish washer, towels, hair dryer, shampoo and shower gel. We felt we're staying in our own house.
